Well now I have to say that after a few weeks of non stop use I am totally loving it!
Great looking.
Super comfortable.
Perfect size.

It just might be the coolest watch I've ever owned.
Thank you David and Alex for helping me make the decision.
What a stunner!!! Big congrats!

Awesome!

Since this seems to be morphing into a 1016 appreciation thread, I'll contribute a few of mine. Like the OP, I meant to put this on a nice Hodinkee vintage leather strap but once I got it on its Oyster bracelet and tried it on it was all over.

I have to say that the forum makes the experience of acquiring a new watch so exciting and enjoyable. My wife and friends barely notice if I strap something new on and cant really produce the same enthusiasm that a group of like minded watch nuts can.

My Wife does not know about my 1016 and I can't for the life of me think how I'm going to explain it ... I'm hoping she might think it looks like my SS 16610!!!!

My late father's watch was my first exposure to Rolex. Still love this watch.

Another great example of a perfect, like-new-from-the-factory vision of a 50 year old watch.

Fantastic.

Ditto Dan, but it has benefits as we don't have to explain why there is another vintage piece on your wrist costing a few thousand pounds or dollars..
