At this time of year when I wear short sleeves, I'm more concerned with pre cancers that develop on my left arm from being next to the car window so I wear on that arm the top of cut off white sport socks which half covers my SS OP.
I am sure the sock gets more attention.

During this dangerous time of the year, have you thought about moving your watches a big higher up to the biceps?

I only use a pocket watch when I'm wearing a tank top and a waistcoat.

I would assume a button down shirt cuff would be the reason for most swirl marks, I usually have my sleeves up over my watch anyway, I dont want to hide it

Just tape over your watch with blue painter's tape. No more worries of scratches.

This is one for the "Is my Rolex safe for..." threads!

I never knew my Sub was in danger when I was wearing short sleeves. God forbid I wear it while shirtless at the pool!
