If the 5711 doesn't sing then go for the DD. Consider the WG DD if you are concerned about yellow gold being blingy.

I love my 5711 and my BLNR.

I could not imagine not having either one.

And, NO I could not imagine selling my Patek for a yellow gold anything.

If you had the 5711 in blue dial then no questions, 5711 all day everyday.

The White dial pales in comparison.

Are you just chasing the Hunt? Do you want to add a full PM piece to your collection? Just remember DDs are dime a dozen, the 5711 is a lot harder to retrieve.

N E V E R ! !

Not unless you are considering getting it pre owned: just look at the price hit YG DDs take over time. Not much love for the precious metal DDs imo...

Are you just looking to have a full YG with bracelet? does it need to be a DD?

I may be a minority, but I like the 5711 in white.
I would say keep the 5711
Either way I would keep any 5711 over DD.
Would be an easy choice for me

Do it. You seem not convinced by the 5711.

Gotcha

I'll take superrior movements and finishing all day every day over precious metal cases.

And I will sleep better while doing it!

^^ Beautiful pic! I just love the white on the 5711 dial. Looks even better in person, but thats a nice shot. No sleeper there at all.

Never! No DD is worth a trade for a Nautilus blue or white. The DD could be had for a fraction in 5 years and the 5711 would have appreciated around the price of a DD. Keep it and save up for a gold watch

I would keep the 5711, save for the DD. That's basically what I did, and I have NO regrets!!! I too have the white dialed 5711, and I LOVE the watch. I could have gotten the blue dialed one, but the white dial seemed to "pop" more, and to me, is more wearable/versatile than the blue dial. I can almost guarantee you that you will regret getting rid of the 5711 if you do so.

Sure thing. The gradient colours of the blue dial is just more interesting to me, and it's harder to fine. Either way I still prefer the PP, I don't have much love for the DD, I also find YG a little off putting. But this is about the OP and I think OP must not be too satisfied with 5711 if he is considering the swap.

I know I wouldn't.

That 5711 is not more than you can carry off - the YG DD is way louder IMHO. And there's nothing wrong with that. I only mention it since you brought that issue up.

You just got it so let it settle into your life like a newborn baby.

5711 Blue Dial > DD > 5711 White Dial, in my opinion.

I'd keep the 5711...at least for a while.

if you said DD40 Platinum...then I might have a different opinion
