Bluesy and buy from DavidSW so you can have peace of mind with your transaction and save lots of money. Good Luck.

I have a blue TT an sometimes it feels just a bit OTT.

But there is no really bad decision here.

I vote blue but leave the stickers on in case he wants to swap for black when he considers it. The AD might be fine letting you do this if you explain it is a gift.

That watch with the blue face is a classic. So much so that among those who don't favor two tone watches (all kinds of tastes), there's frequently an exception made for the "TT Blusey". Gotta go blue!

Flip a coin, no bad decision either way. I have a blue one and my colleague has a black one, both are equally nice.

Take the blue pill.

Then some day try the blue everest rubber strap on, so it can blow your mind into little pieces.

IMO - best advice is right there. It sounds like you have a relationship with the AD so suspect they would let you do this - mine did for a gift. While both are great choices one might be better than the other - from his/the wearer perspective.

If his others are black as you mentioned, I'd go blue...and also because it looks so damn good with a blue rubber B strap in the summer. I will say the black is really sharp, but either way he's going to be thrilled.

The sunburst dial on the blue is simply stunning. In natural light it simply cannot be beat. Blue gets my vote!

Go for blue. U can always buy a black stainless steel sub but blue only comes with TT and full gold. If u look at the dial, the wordings are in gold too which make it special from the usual white wordings.
There is something about the TT blue submariner it looks so stunning.
