Get all three
image.jpeg
Seriously personally I would buy them in the order I did. Sub date first, then the blnr then the hulk.

To be honest, even though this is a Rolex forum, I personally wouldn't be interested in having a bunch of somewhat similar sports Rolex watches. I'd prefer just having a single Sub/GMT, and, rather than having 3 more Rolex sports watches, I'd put the rest of the money towards something like a Patek Calatrava...or at least a DJ or DD.

I would agree minus the watches selected but agree with the sport watch statement. I have plenty of others that fit other needs like dress up, low key, and other brands etc etc.

You're right. Besides, a sub is a must in a collection

LVc any day, the blnr is cool but the large and many numbers on the bezel is a turn off for me.
Second choice subc ND

Eh...probably doesn't matter since you'll most likely end up with all three.

I'll take black sub for 200, Alex.

I would get the LV. In fact, I just did this week.

Black Sub is boooooooooriing and so many people have one. The LV changes constantly based on lighting which makes it very interesting.

Get the Hulk as sport watch and add a dress watch like DJ. Why Hulk? Cuz its production amount is ca. 1/4 of the black sub, i.e. its RARE. on the contrary the BLNR is not rare, but "difficult to get" because people like it and prefer it over its black version, but not because it is rare itself.

Before I bought the Hulk I took a fairly good look at the blnr. To be honest, in the first 30 secs it looked pretty nice with the half blue half black bezel. But after a minute it turned into a pretty usual watch without any special appearance. Th half blue part of the bezel "faded" the far the distance was and you had to really pay attention to recognize it's blue, means it does not have a "recognizing effect" from far as the hulk does.

The Hulk on the contrary stood out in the first second. I don't think I'll have a problem in matching dress with the green color of the Hulk. Cuz at the end of the day, it is supposed to stand out just like a gorgeous jewel like watch. If you're not that kind of person and prefer to be "descrete" then just go and buy a normal sub.

I love my Hulk, coulnd't be happier.

I agree! This sounds good advice to me!
This is exactly my line of thinking!

Huh. That must be a joke. Blue "doesn't par well with anything".

Green - on the other hand - really doesn't pair with anything than white, black and - uh well - green.

The Sub LVC and BLNR are 2 of my personal favorites but if only could add one it would be the BLNR.

There is no wrong choice here...my personal preference would be BLNR, Hulk then black submariner.

My suggestion would be to go to your local Rolex AD or boutique, try them on and decide which one you are drawn to the most.

There are plenty of great sellers here on TRF that can get you the watch you want at a significant discount off the retail price.

They are all great. I have black and green subs. Black is most versatile followed by blnr but dang, that green is nice when you are in the mood.

For most people hulk is not an everyday watch, that's out. Between Blnr and ln... I would go Blnr 100%. Ln is just too simple, unless that's what you want for everyday.

Have had all 3.
Iconic and great all around - black sub
Adventurous, fun and bold - green sub
Classy, cool, and useful - blnr

If I was in your situation and looking to simply add to the collection... def go with the black sub as you could always get the hulk or blnr later w/o regret.

If you go with either of the latter first... you'll always have the black sub in the back of your mind. Also this way, you'll be able to sleep at night and spend all evening dreaming of the future ownership of the Hulk or Batman vs. nightmares of not owning one of the most iconic watches on this planet.

Just my .02 =)

BLNR for me. Then, next the Black Submariner. Not a fan of the Hulk though.

For your first Sports Rolex, I would say the 116610LN (SubC Date Black). Since you have a good job and I trust that you will not stop at one, the next one will be the BLNR. If you are a diehard SubC fan like me, then the second would be the LV. BTW, I have 3 SubC. Planning to get the BLNR next spring.

Ended up going with the black sub! Couldn't beat the classic look to begin a collection.
