Making money in the market is easy. Buy a diversified portfolio of quality investments (mutual funds, bonds, stocks, etc.) and hold them for long periods of time. I'm not sure why people try all these tactics to beat the market. If anyone was consistently making money hand over fist they would have a line 1,000 miles long at their door.
Options can be a good way to hedge risk if you have a large holding in a stock that you don't want to or can't sell for whatever reason (capital gains, company stock, etc.) just don't get too tied up in them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That is a good quote. I stopped work at 55 and began to live off my stock investments (dividend stream). I am now 67 and still living off dividends. Never got into options.
