You are correct to be careful. I heard of a company in LA who was using aftermarket parts to refurbished Rolex watches. They are since closed. LOL

Are you sure it was an AD and not just a random dealer? As far as I know, Authorised Dealers aren't allow to sell you something that is not in 100% original form, even if it's second hand. If you're sure it's an AD (check the Rolex site) you might want to give the details to RSC so they can do something about it...

My guess is the seller of this watch got a good offer for the Panda dial only and installed a standard 116520 black dial he had available or maybe even a one on one trade with the buyer from the Panda dial (with additional cash obviously)

it could've been. I got the watch as a wedding gift so perhaps there was another "set of hands" (pun intended) that touched this from the AD and me.

It struck me as odd that an AD did not know what color hands come with a dial on a watch....

ugh rolex said the panda dial is backordered from geneva and now saying maybe may unti i get my watch back....thatll be almost 5 months!

So you were sold a WG Daytona with a SS dial? I sure hope you didn't pay what a 'correct' one costs.

Any idea why the(white black arab) panda dials are discontinued?

Are they discontinued for good or just on backorder?

FWIW, I have one and I love it. I think it's the best dial or a Daytona.

Rolex not offering those I guess since Basel 2016 ,afaik the slate arab still in production.I agree with you the white Arab is the best dial Rolex ever made for Daytonas.
