It something I keep considering daily. Flip my 114060 for a 116600. Maybe I need to do something about it ;-)

Mine said hello...!

Actually i am in a similar situation like you. I ended up giving the SubC No Date to my wife for her daily wear

Great watch, of course, but for anyone thinking of buying an SD4000, make sure you try it on the feel the weight, and the distribution of the weight. It's a heavy watch overall and top-heavy. Sounds like most guys don't mind, but I flipped mine after a couple of months because I couldn't get used to the weight. It's a beautiful piece, but it's gotta be the heaviest 40mm SS Rolex out there.

It's all in the lugs......can't stand the squat, square, shape of the basic ceramic Sub, the sd4000 solves that for me. Great watch, and with no cyclops too. What's not to like.

Here it is

I think I'm going to love this piece, and have no initial regrets on my flip. The crystal is thicker than I expected, which I love, but am also weary that it may get scratched if not careful. Need to take a link out for it to fit properly. Maybe two. It's tough to judge the weight of it because it's so loose, but I know i"ll love it.

For some reason, pictures downloaded from my iPhone upload sideways on this forum.

Great way end the work week and start the weekend!

Bought a ND sub. Never liked the cyclops. Wish I would have bought the sd400. Still happy with the sub.

I admire you guys that wear these, I also don't know if I could get use to it.

Love the look and love the design, but I have learnt that comfort is the primarily decision for me.

Great choice. I flipped my Subc for a SDc and never looked back. I never really felt comfortable with the blocky/squarer case shape of the newer Sub, whereas the SD aesthetics are perfect,,,,the lug differences whilst appear subtle in pics,,,on the wrist make such a difference to the overall shape and feel of the watch. The extra weight is a bonus and gives it an extra quality feel,,,kind of like PM,,,without the expense! With the divers extension removed, I can get the perfect fit and it is super comfortable, but with a reassuring presence that I can feel on my wrist. IMO the best all round Rolex sports piece. Enjoy!

Congrats. A little heavy for my tiny wrists but I love the piece overall.

The weight is more than many modern professionals. However I think it's more comfortable because of the case and lugs. It sits higher so it doesn't dig into my hand and the lugs look better than subs. If it feels unbalanced I think people are wearing them too loose. If sized proper IMO you get used to the weight. It's actually very cool to feel that little bit extra!

Awesome watch, and so is the Sub. The SD checks all my boxes. Wear it well!

Congratulations!
Have had the SD4K for about a year now. Great watch. Very comfortable.
I rarely wear the 16613 or the 16803, however, it's a great rotation.

After getting it sized today, I agree with what you said completely. It doesn't dig into my wrist like the sub crown did because it sits up higher.

I like the fact that its a stand alone watch:
Has its own case and the bezel marking the minutes sets it apart from the sub and nd sub. You cant confuse it on somebodys wrist.
Also the case is not shared with other models (like subc and gmtc)
