I struggled with the same question. I have a GMT II Pepsi and had a Tudor Black Bay Black. Have always loved the look of the 116613LB but thought it was too flashy and I've never worn gold in my life. Also, can I wear with casual attire (jeans t-shirt) or only dress attire? These were all things I was concerned with. Well after pining for it I couldn't take it anymore and I bought a new one about 1.5 weeks ago. It took me about 1 hour to get used to the look on my wrist, it is just so striking and beautiful to stare at. After that, I felt comfortable and haven't taken it off since. I wear it with everything and I absolutely love it! Phenomal in every way.

The TTs are Rolexes most versatile watch. It can be worn in any situation. If you have any concerns, the watch is not for you.

The bluesy has been around since when: 1983 or whatever? Hundreds of thousands of guys have prob worn one over the years and did any of them have a problem? No.

Ask yourself: is gold or TT Invitca or Michael kors too flashy?? Prob not.

People don't care about what others are wearing!! I sure don't. I have my own problems to deal w everyday and not caring if the guy next to my is wearing a bluesy.

Life is short, bud. Go for it.

I don't think they are flashy at all. A bit more eye catching than an SS model, though.

Thank you everyone for sharing their thoughts but also photos!! Amazing. The blue seems the overwhelming favourite.

Just to clarify, its not really what others think of me that I'm worried about. I tend to buy what I like. But I was somewhat worried about the "wrong" kind of attention. Ie does the TT draw more eyes in a bad way (i.e. does it stand out so that i become a target) etc. I live in London, so generally is a developed safe city but was just wondering if people felt this.

Ofcourse I appreciate that it WILL be flashier than say a standard sub, but of course the reason why I am attracted to it, is that this watch just looks ACE. No doubts about the look, is amazing. The blue is truly stunning.

Of course, it's a matter of personal taste but IMO, it's not too flashy. I wore a TT sub for 10 years and now wear a TT GMT. Wouldn't say it gets more looks than my hulk or black sub but maybe I'm just not paying attention.
I'm drawn to full YG subs and GMTs but think those may be a bit much for me. TT, just right.

You've got to be smart and aware, but if a thief knows watches he will know what you have whether it is a black sub or TT or a Planet Ocean. I don't think many thieves go for your watch just because it looks shiny, they will know the vast majority are gold-plated, they will have other reasons for targeting you.

I agree that the TT model is more noticeable that the all gold model.

Hi guys,

I would have thought all-gold would be more "noticeable" than TT, just due to the fact that there's some SS visible.

Why do you think otherwise?

I had a TT Bluesy for 18 years. Wore it less and less over the years. It became too flashy for me. Flipped it for a BLNR about a year and a half ago. Never looked back.

I think you will be fine in London with regards to unwanted attention. It would be no different in my opinion if it was a SS Sub or a TT Sub, the bad guys know what they are looking for as Neil has already said.

Get the Bluesy - it is a beautiful watch!! Buy it, enjoy it, and don't worry about it!

You can't live life worrying if you will be a target for thieves. I wore a Bluesy exclusively for almost 20 years everywhere doing everything and never had a problem. The majority of people in public just don't notice the watch on your wrist. If you want the watch, buy it and wear it with pride. Stop worrying about the world around you.

I'm going to have to on this. I have gotten more compliments on this watch than any other, but that's also likely due to the fact that it is more noticeable, i.e. glitters in the sunlight, contrasting colors, etc.

I'm OK with that, although sometimes I think, eh, I should just wear the (black) sub today, go under the radar.

Do you guys find the TT too flashy? I have only 1 gold watch in my collection but its a WG Lange so its very under the radar. Probably the "blingiest" is maybe my daytona?

Is the Blue TOO MUCH in your face? I want to wear it quite often at work etc.

Let me know! THank you
Good question, and one I asked myself.

Personally I do believe that the LB stands out much more than the LN. I'd argue its one of the most "stand out" Rolexes out there

My wife (in her mid 30's) looked at the LB and her words were "used car salesman" No disrespect intended to either those in the motor trade or who own an LB but the blusey can have a certain image/association - in parts of the UK at least.

The bluesy appears to get more love on here than the LN, however I suspect that is as much down to this forum having an international membership base where tastes differ from those in the UK

Its a beautiful watch for sure and I can appreciate why it gets so much love, but its not for me.

I discounted the LB right at the start and my choice was then TT sub C LN or TT GMT C. My choice was largely down to function (24 hr hand or not) and asthetics (bezel)

Went with the 116613LN in the end and am delighted I did. But YOU should go with what YOUR heart tells you
