I didn't like it at first and it slowly grew on me. Then I pulled the trigger and it's been great.

Can the black bezel of a typical Sub be fitted onto the LV? Black bezel and maxi dial ... mmm.

What I did...before I went out and buy the 16610LV I just bought the insert.
For awhile I had placed it right into my regular 16610...after a couple of weeks..I went back wearing black... LV...Only good for vertical collections..that's all. |

Jim, that is an interesting observation you make about the LV used value. I much prefer the black to the green and would not consider getting one. Cheers, Bill P.

thanks, out of all of my watches, the LV has been getting the most wrist-time. I find it goes great with blue, white, green, black, and gray shirts.

So when the green bezel is black, how does it differ from a regular sub?

"F" Serial numbered LV
I purchased an LV in December '03. It's an "F" serial numbered piece. I've been told that the first year of issue of the LV is more valuable than subsequent years/serials. Comments?
I've also been told a green composite rotor was used in the "F". Is this another apocryphal story about the ever-mysterious Rolex Co.? I don't think I'll ever part with the LV, although I don't wear it very often. Great to find this site. Everyone's very friendly and well-informed. |

i think they look great, and i also think there are less of them out there than the normal sub-date. not a stealth-watch though, that green bezel is an eyeball beacon.

I love my LV more than 16610. Really!!!
But maybe someday, I don't know when, I will trade it with other watch. Yeah, sad but true. |
