Sure, it's just a watch and it is replaceable....can't say that I would be happy about it though.

No way.

1. IT jobs are too many in Dallas & metroplex.
2. Don't have payment of a new Z06 or Porsche
3. Too many talents on making extra cash

you are right my friend...I think it is not an easy "yes" or "no".
It also might depend on how much money you get if you sell it...
hard to say!

I have lost my job and have no plans to sell my little collection. I can't imagine that I will ever sell my Rolex (or Omega.) Whatever happens, I need a watch.

Well folks... I have in the past lost my job for 18 months til i found a new one. Could not even get work cleaning urinals, thats takes a special course and certificate...go figure.

The first items to go were some of my guns. I kept those i needed for defence, the rest left. After the gun cash was gone, I sold my first tudor sub. I then sold my second tudor sub to a firend that allowed me to buy it back at the same price (in effect he was being my banker and trusted my credit worthiness). I got my job... not a great one but it pays the bills and allows some of my delinquencies such as my Sd , and diving.

Now that I have found some treasure, I would part with it fiorst before any guns or watch

bottom line... You'll still a need a watch, so keeping one would be nice. At least it'll keep you somewhat happy.

If ever i can a collection, i'd sell some... and keep one.

Unfortunately if thing go really bad... 5000$ won't change a thing...

I'd never sell my guns nor reloading machine...

If I loose my job I will get a new one the same day.

So my collection will stay.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

Im trying to sell off Breitlings now and keep 1 Rolex DJ and 2 Omegas and thats it....
over the past year or so im losing interest in owning 10 , you can only wear one at a time anyway.
I sold IWC 3 weeks ago to by my wife all new stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, trash compactor, double oven, range hood....etc..I only wore it 2/3 times a year.....
and sold it for 600 bucks more than I paid for it so all is well.

I would not sell my watches. I paid cash for them, so they are paid for.

If I lost my job I would have to look for a new one but I would take a few months off first to take it easy.

Nope.

Only own a couple and they aren't high dollar watches.

Well, compared to some of y'all's anyway.

That's a hard one, not because I won't sell my watches (they are after all only watches), but because it would have to be a last resort selling anything to make ends meet other than my body OK, OK I know we'd all starve.
If all else failed on the work front, then yes I would sell my Rolex watches in a flash to feed and cloth the wife and kids, but I'd still have a dozen others to wear

A bit of a daft question

Have you ever seen anybody eat a ROLEX

Of course I would sell if times were tough, it's a no brainer as you guys would say.
