Yes I am intrigued as well, that actually measures a tad shorter than my largest watch that I think wears nicely. Interesting!

That's good news. The old SD4000 had shorter lugs than the sub / GMT case. Glad they continued the tradition as this might yet fit me!

Thanks for posting. Great shots Lee.

Lug To Lug

The Lug to Lug measurement would be great as that will give information related to how it will fit different sized wrists. Thanks

yep, the pelagos is the same 42 MM but 50 mm lug to lug. so i can see how its possible with the lug structure.

Thanks for all of those measurements! The thickness seems quite reasonable at just over 15mm not including the cyclops.

6.5-6.7"....somewhere there. My largest watch would be the Grey Side of the Moon Speedmaster from Omega and I can barely pull that watch off.....if this watch contours directly.....I might barely pull it off.....but it's a bit of a stretch really. I know for a fact the normal 40mm Rolex past and present fit me far better.

50MM is a pretty tall L2L watch. That would cut down on Sub sales.

yes i agree. however, the tapering of the lugs effects wear ability.

Seems close to the 5 digit sub too. Not my most scientific measurement, but using a regular desk ruler, I just measured my 5 digit bluesy lug to lug to be 47 mm.

Calipers are great for decimal point level accuracy, but I think a good old desk ruler is good enough alternative for general human wrist proportion comparisons.

Yes, there were photos taken on one of the other threads and you can see the lug to lug on the SD50 is clearly bigger than the Subc

Lee said the Dial on the SD50 is 27mm..............didnt think the dial would be smaller than a Subc.

Dials are identical. Only the font has been changed. SubC-GMTC-SD4K-DSSD = All same.

the dial diameter in the photo in this thread for the Subc is 29.5. Lee measured the dial on the SD50 at 27?

The dial at the bottom of the rehaut measures approx. 27mm. I have just checked it again.
