I've got my eye on a pre-owned 2003 Sea Dweller and a 2006 Submariner Date. The pre-owned market will probably have some relative bargains in the next few months, so maybe some of the over time can amount to something tangible. My wife wants to buy rocks and dirt, as well as a wall for the yard.

I could afford a TT or SS one now, but I am waiting to get a 18k GMT,right now. A bit more saving to go, but with apple releasing new laptops it might be a bit longer.

Same here, can buy one but just bought one in March and the other in May, so should wait for another year... I think.

I said No however....

Right now I could go out and buy one but with my wife's birthday, son's birthday and Christmas coming...that may be a little shortsighted!!!!!!!!!!

Affordability is a relative thing.

I am therefore waiting for a wealthy relative to buy me a new watch.

HA! I don't know. I still kinda have my heart set on a day-date. I had a Porsche Boxster S, and while it was a scream to drive, I got bored within a couple of months.

People are still emailing me about the watch even though it's on its way to you. If you don't like it, I know some people who will buy it from you

Like many have said, I could afford another Rolex; however, as we say in Georgia... it is time to "hunker down" and wait out this bad economy......Cheers, Bill P.

Voted yes, but no chance I'd pull the trigger until things settle down. Got a call offering a rare AP ROO the other day. Never thought that would happen. Tempted, but watches will never imperil my financial health. I think we'll have some great investment opportunities in a month or so and I'd rather buy $25K in stock than a $25K watch.

I'm with Matt, as soon as my crystal ball tells me where the bottom is, everything is going toward investments. I may add a jubilee bracelet for the GMT but that's it for a while.
