I think a Daytona on a strap (of any kind) is for a second or third Daytona. It's more of a specialty piece to me. If I were only going to have one Daytona, it would be on a bracelet. Just my opinion.

Amendment: I suppose if you have a large collection, having your only Daytona on a strap might also work.

Having said that though, I tried on the new Skydwellers too and despite maintaining on TRF that I preferred the black dial, the blue is absolutely stunning!! Way better in the flesh than the black. Has certainly given me something to think about.

I've only seen the black SkyD and want to see the blue when they are out, but as I have the blue YM I'm probably covered. Three years is long, like twenty one in TRF years, so you are due!
