Supply and demand dictates price. In addition, you cannot rationalize the cost of precious metals as they relate to luxury jewelry.

The value of the gold in a two tone wont be a massive proportion of the selling cost. Two tone watches have the least demand, highest discount percentage and weakest residuals.

I personally do not like the look of them and would never own one.

I think this SS vs TT price "flip" happens with Rolex Submariners as well. I've shopped for two tone sub vintage 16803 and oddly the SS version is the same price, and sometimes more than the same TT Submariner.

But I agree with above, the TT Daytona is even less liked than the TT Sub or GMT. Full gold will always be more expensive, but resale will be slower than SS. TT is a little different, as it is not in the demand like SS, and may not get the higher price either.

I like the TT Blue Arabic Dial but then again I have a TT Bluesy.

The one that is all gold is offering only a little more expensive than steel, sometimes 20/25% more. Now if there are operations done I doubt it.

Chinese like two tone watches and yellow gold is very auspicious hence mandarin oranges are known as gold in Cantonese. We tend to avoid white gold as "white gold" for us is something we receive when one of our family members passed away. Usually the white gold is money for funeral expenses.
