Regardless of the movement, I just wanted to point out that Jacob rips off Cartier.

"In November 24, 2004 Cartier filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Arabo [Jacob and Company], claiming he took Cartier watches and added diamonds, then resold them without permission."

Hi Ross

I must respectfully disagree. The new Deep Sea isn't blinged up at all, but pumped up. That is a big difference in my book.

The ss/plat is sheer class- i tried it on recently- just so classy and refined i thought. But the clasp was a let down after wearing a GMT IIc and milgauss but hopefully that will be updated soon

For me it's vintage all the way. But, there is a natural progression that is good; be it life; watches; cars; and such. I embrace change and new design and style for two reasons. Change brings in fresh ideas and new customers to the fold, and; it helps me decide what I like by offering different choices.

Sorry I have to agree with Tony, how is the deep sea blinged? This is a few photos of Markes Deep sea.

Hope you do not mind Marke.

Yes Chris, you are right. The clasp needs to be like a Daytona. After all, the Yacht Master has a triplock crown like the daytona, so why no clasp...?

Cheers JJ!

I just got so p!ssed off when the Yacht Master is referred to as "bling", which to me, cheapens the watch.

I hate to say this about anything man made (apart from Catherine Zeta Jones), but that is a beautiful Yacht Master, Richard.

I have a Plat/Stainless Yachtmaster and a GMT IIc. The yachtmaster is a more comfortable watch on my wrist. The case is more rounded and seems to fit my wrist better. I enjoy both watches. The GMT IIc is my daily wearer. The YM is for a dressy look.

I would not consider either of them "Bling"

I agree 90%. I have a DJ, Black Dial, Diamonds and you notice the sparkle from the white gold bezel insert before the diamond dial. I also agree with you on diamonds on a SUB, except for a Serti dial. I have a GMT with a Serti dial and I do like the look. Of course the dial is not black and that does make a difference. My question was not a trick question, but with my response I see that you could take it that way. I did know I would get your honest opinion and I like that.
