Submariner Query
I think waiting for a new movement will end up just making you frustrated. That's like saying I'm going to wait to buy a new car until they make it with better fuel efficiency. Maybe it will happen soon but maybe not

Especially if you wear it daily. In that case the power reserve is moot. Another option to help with keeping it running is to buy a simple watch winder. I got the Versa on Amazon for $50. It's reliable and silent.

I waited decades too long to buy my 16710. I'm enjoying the heck out of it now, but when I think of all the time I wasted NOT enjoying it I want to kick myself.

114060 is very great movement, both reliable and accurate. Buy it now, otherwise you will regret not buying..:)
48 hours is plenty if you wear it not less than three days a week. Even if it stops, it is very easy to reanimate it..;) |

Sub 114060
You cannot go wrong with a 114060. Personally I can't handle any cyclops

If you like it, buy it! It's pure and balanced. And it won't have the problem of dust which tends to stick around the base of a cyclops.
If you're buying new and it gets replaced shortly, you end up with the final version of the model which may be valuable to some.

is there even rumors of a new sub? Aren't we likely at least like 6 months from the next baselworld and a year before we see anything announced being available for purchase? and this is just on some guess that the Sub will get an update this year, and that the update will include a longer power reserve? Seems awfully presumptuous.
If your daily routine REQUIRES a 3-day power reserve, buy a black bay or pelagos, and wait for the "new" Sub. If you love the sub, buy it now, even if you have to sell it in the future you shouldn't lose too much on it. |
