Thanks for the info. First, because I'm out of US and mail a Rolex overseas usually is complicated, and second, I'm buying new from my AD, and below MSRP. Seems that GM dealers are above MSRP these days.

Plenty of new ones for sale in the classified section as well. Also shipping overseas is not an issue at all. All the sellers on here ship fully insured and express. Dont have to worry about that. They are pros at shipping

Im a Rolex owner but have only bought used. I was told that you can only purchase in person from an authorized dealer not online or over the phone. Is this true

Thanks. I agree. I had the SMP for about a year but once I got the Sub I kinda looked down my nose at it which is a shame as it's a great piece but it's just night and day not in the same league. I didn't even know that Swatch own Omega and it's not in-house, that's what made me sell it and go with the Sub on it's own.

A different story with the SM 300 Master co-axial. I think that one is closer to the Sub. Is on my short list, I think is a perfect every day watch.

SD43 and a Green sub, quite a duo.

I'd agree to some extent. I had the Spectre version for a little while before I flipped it. All before my move to the dark side.

And why did you flip it? Also, some opinions over the DSOTM? Really interesting piece.

Because I managed to get a Silver Snoopy Award instead :) Seriously though, I felt the whole 'Bond' thing cheapened the brand. I had the Bond anniversary edition SMP for a while before I got bored with that.

Kinda wished I could have held onto the Snoopy as think that will be worth serious money in the future only 1977 pieces made.

Can't say I have an opinion on the DSOTM as never owned one. Will say the new Omegas' are ghastly though specifically the new PO's with the horrible orange bit on the bezel. I did own the Goodplanet GMT for a while which I liked colourwise.

Love that Silver Snoopy, no way I'm paying $15k+ for it though.

I'm just going to do my best to score the 50th anniversary when it comes out.

I got it retail £4600 believe it was and sold it for £9800 if mind serves me correctly. The guy said he used his trust fund to buy it what a great investment. For me, I couldn't get the d-blue without freeing up the funds unfortunately. The whole $15k thing is one of those things really where people are 'asking' that but no one is actually paying it as far as I know (or weren't)

I kept some pics before I sold it here you go (sorry OP taking off subject!)

Ps whats the 50th anniversary? Might see if my AD that I got the snoopy from has an allocation.

Sorry OP.

I'm just making an assumption that they'll follow the success of the 45th up on the 50th.

I don't think anyone is paying that either, I love the watch, but $10k is my top dollar for that model.

Hulk

I bought a 114060 at one of the AD's near last sunday, they mentioned they had a hulk which I saw on display, I went back today and the last sub was gone as well as the hulk. I'm glad I didn't wait as near Christmas they will sell out of SS sports. This year especially busy and they think prices will go up in '18 being Rolex hasn't had a price increase for 5 yrs.
