17th February sounds good to me. Where is the Waldorf (or any other location that may be preferred)?

Just off On Strand. The Waldorf would make an ideal meeting point due to being so close to numerous highly recommend restaurants. |

The 17th sounds good too. Will we be having lunch then pushing off to somewhere else? Or will we be located there for the afternoon?
Looks like there’s 3 of us in so far...

I have been using The Waldorf for many years, I always rely on the amazing Concierge Team to make last minute reservations if needed. |

Are we not able to also post in the general discussion as not everyone may read this area of the forum?

I'm afraid I will not be able to make the 17th. My wife has made other arrangements for us that day and I can't get out of them.

Sorry for the late input Gents but I’ve only just seen this thread.
Having been somewhat instrumental in organising a few London GTG’s over the years, the first two or three were fantastic but after a few I became disappointed with the lack of enthusiasm and the number of no-shows, (one year we had more people arrive from abroad than the UK!!) and it became nigh on impossible to find a venue that everyone was happy with as well. We even had one guy show up who turned out to be a con-man selling fake watches!! But anyway, if this ever does go ahead please do PM me but in the interim I would respectfully yet strongly advise that you do not post the location on the open forum! While many of us are comfortable in London, there would probably be many tens of thousands of pounds worth of watches at such a GTG, and quite literally anyone can read this thread. I’m sure even those of us that are familiar with the area would agree that safety is of paramount importance, and as such we would want to encourage as many members as possible to feel safe, confident, and comfortable enough to attend. Good luck arranging something Gentlemen and hopefully I’ll meet some of you soon.

Hey Guys
Only just picked up on this thread to try and arrange a UK GTG - sorry! Like others have said, I don't usually visit this part of the forum - shame on me! However it Sounds like a great idea. Would be really nice to put a face to a 'virtual' friend or friends...lol Seriously though, I live in the north (Sheffield) and because the 17th is next week its a bit short notice (my fault I know, I know) I appreciate this thread was started back in November, so can only kick myself I've not picked up on it sooner Reading back through a few of the most recent posts it looks like the 17th may or may not happen anyway for whatever reason which is a shame - can anyone confirm if it is or isn't just out of curiosity? Anyhow, if anything is eventually arranged for a future GTG, I think I would like to be involved - any excuse to chat about watches with fellow enthusiasts Could I just ask, and this goes out to anyone who's ever been to a GTG here in the UK or anywhere in the world really - what's the general etiquette regarding your watches? Does everyone just bring their best or what they feel to be their most interesting watch, or do people literally turn up with a case/bag full of everything they got?? Any previous experiences shared from former attendees would be much appreciated for future reference. Good luck guys
