Looks good Nairn. I used to have the black dial version for about 5yrs I think - wore it a lot, loved the look of the watch and particularly the ease of adjustment with that amazing clasp, however it always felt top heavy to me.

Does the SD43 have the same clasp as DSSD as not seen one in person?

No, the SD43 has the same type of clasp design as the sub

Shoot, I was expecting to see a deep sea excursion. Ha! Very nice. Love that watch. Enjoy!

Btw, I have 2 Daytonas and never use the chrono function and I'd bet that 99% of Rolexes are never used for intended purpose.

I understand what you mean regarding the size, but your in a great position having paid retail. You can take your time and see how you feel after a few outings, if it turns out it’s not for you then you won’t be taking a hit.
FWIW I think it looks stunning and definitely a keeper.
