The prior post was so prejudicially worded that I thought the Millie deserved a better thread.

LOL

I am happy with the watch when I am happy with the watch. I didn't really pay attention if the watch makes everybody happy :)

The boss at home doesn't complain is a major plus. :D

It is popular to people who do not follow the masses because it is not popular to the masses.

The Milgauss continues to be a very popular tool watch!

It seems to be to be the same reason as with Tudor, the Cyclops, the Explorer I MK1, ...

If there is some nagging issue that you can't get past, then you'll probably stay away. I love the Milgauss mostly. I think Rolex nailed it originally for my tastes. Not complaining really. If Rolex followed the Omega lead (and Tudor to some extent) with producing what they thought would be popular instead of following their own principles of design, then we wouldn't have Rolex.

I saw one in the wild recently. Owner actually took it off and handed it to me. Probably the most gorgeous watch I've ever handled in my life.

Good catch.

"Tennis shoes" are generic in the South for sneakers, kicks, running shoes, or whatever haha.

I love the Milgauss, and my Milgauss.
The white is very nice, and I will have one.
But, white is always white, and black always looks black.

The blue has its own ideas.

I agree with most of the sentiment here. Personally, the reason I went with it is because of how unique it is (not just for Rolex). At the end of the day, if it is something that you enjoy wearing and staring at, that is all that matters with this crazy hobby of ours.

Not too many technicians these days. Lol. I am in love with the milgauss w/ green glass but the non-green glass has grown on me bc it is very rare.
