Looks good. I love wearing straps.

For those who don’t already know, Hirsch makes a “performance” line that is leather covered rubber, and it’s great because, while looking like leather on the outside, you can still swim with it. This is the James model:

I wear a Tudor Prince Oysterdate on a Perlon strap, which has made me aware of the benefits and drawbacks of straps. I also have a Cellini Prince, which comes with a butterfly clasp on a nice strap. I have grown to appreciate the combination of a deployant clasp with a good strap.

Some of the 36mm 116xxx PM models come from Rolex on a strap with endlinks meant for the strap and the head. The addition of the end links really completes the look of the watch on the wrist.

I think the DJ 4 looks great on a leather band and would like to see Rolex offer it in that configuration.

Wow! That watch just looks "right" on black leather.

I don't wear a Rolex for the benefit of others.

Just for reference though the ‘James’ isn’t available in 21mm. One of the only performance strap available is the ‘Paul’ which unfortunately doesn’t work with the DJ41.

It looks amazing on the 214270! I have a Horween Shell Cordovan in black and it's beautiful.

Tried to look at the 21mm strap options on the Hirsch website and they are not available. Darn.

I switched bands. This one is a hair over 21mm because the way the lugs are done the band sits up right next to the watch leaving a tiny overhang. Since the fit is snug you can't see that.

So far I'm liking it a lot. Lighter to wear and no worries about desk diving scuffs.

I’ve had nothing but good experience with Hirsch straps whether it be leather, rubber or hybrid. I used Hirsch straps on Rolex, Omega, Seiko, Tag, and IWC. All good matches imho.

With all due respect, it looks a little bit big for my tastes. I mean that the leather strap barely curves over the wrist at all..
