Going out a little on this ,but more power to you .A lighter coloured strap may help it along though ,& also saves the oyster bracelet from those nasty little scratches they tend to pick up . So overall good idea ( current strap colour apart )and when the time comes to sell on ,you have a almost NOS bracelet with absolutely no stretch whatsoever .

This was the lightest color available. It is Horween shell cordovan in natural color. If you know quality shoes then you’ll know what I’m talking about. It starts off very light but burnishes in over time and becomes darker with age. The fact that I wear it everyday and sleep with with it excelerates the deepening rich tones. This is not a cheapo bracelet. It’s a style worn by German fighter pilots in the 50s-80s, hence the Bundes name. Every official Rolex store sales person I visited over the years commented on how they very much like the style and asked me where did I find the such a bracelet how it would look on on other models. It’s a style that’s not for everyone but it fits my active life and gives a different look to a timeless piece.

I like straps and changeups but that does not work for me at all, looks like the LVc has become a belt buckle.

I like Oyster, Jubilee, President, NATO, Rubber B, Everest, etc but not this. I don't care if Paul Newman wore his Daytona that way or not. I will pass.

However, as long as you like it

Pay no mind to the naysayers, if you like it more power to you

Personally, I dig the look and strongly considered getting a black one like you have on your Tag for my Daytona to channel my inner Newman ... still might go for it!

Again, it’s not for everyone but it works for me. I liken it to your finely tuned specatular Porsche RS on the track with fifteen others of the same color and shape. I think someone here has avatar of such a car. All great cars and fast but you have to differentiate yourself so you throw a options on the car to make it your own. Otherwise, we could be all driving Lada’s and looking the same.
Here are my thoughts.
It’s comfortable, utilitarian, simplistic and it’s not in your face as “look at my fancy Rolex” because you see the shiny bracelet from afar. Don’t get me wrong as I apreciate the oyster bracelet for what it is, it’s beautiful and well designed. I’ve smashed crystals, split the ceramic bezels and dented cases while doing active things that I love with passion. Isn’t that what these timepieces were designed for? When I pass on and gift these to a family member they’ll know that I got my monies worth and enjoyed every moment wearing them.
I don’t contribute to the this forum but I thought I’d throw this out there just in case someone else was looking for something left of center.

Love the strap and love the watch. Not so much loving the combo together though.
Did you go for the blatant juxtaposed of the the colours. If so you achieved it and I can dig that.

You like it and that’s what matters. I could see a nice sub or my planet ocean on that strap though and I would love that.

Let us know where you got the strap from please OP

Not for me, but if OP likes it, it is his watch and his choice.

As long as he likes it, that is all that matters.

Originally from a company called Corvus as they commishened Horween to make them. They also supplied the Bond strap in perfect detail. But they went belly up because the owner was jailed for child porn. No joke.
Here is the only other shop that carries them. Leffot NYC. Link below. This place is worth a visit if you’re in the city.
