I like the hidden clasp on my DJ.

It's not a big watch, so I don't need a big folding clasp.

Yes on the SS models but on all the TT ones which are the redesigned ones, the concealed clasp is gone. I expect SS Datejusts will lose it next year so if anyone wants a new from AD SS DJ 36, you should get one this year before they're gone forever.

The concealed clasp is something truly special on the Datejust since it's something that was previously reserved just for the Day-Date. It gives both the jubilee and president bracelets an uninterrupted continuity. IMO not having the hidden clasp is as bad as the steel clasp on 16233 Datejusts and pre-2000 16613 Bluesys. I found a 16613 in great condition for $7k but as soon as I saw the steel clasp I got turned off in addition to the hollow center links. I never knew the gold going all the way around was something introduced in 2000-01. I thought it had been there since the beginning of the TT model.

If you dig deep into their website, some still come with the hidden clasps (for now) but I can bet you this will not last forever. When the new 36mm datejust comes out, they will eventually make this change across their entire lineup so if you want one with the hidden clasp you’ll have to give up the new movement.

I'm going to guess the number of men purchasing a DJ36 will drop even lower now after they get rid of the hidden clasp. As seen from the replies here, a lot of us bought the 36 over the 41 for the hidden clasp. So if they're both going to have the easy link clasp, I'd imagine most men will spring for the DJ41 over the 36.

Either way, I'm glad I bought mine last summer. Price on them was getting out of hand back then I can only imagine how much they'll go up now, that is if you can even find one.
