If you're buying for yourself and you have patience, I would wait until after X-mas when the AD's realize how bad their December was for Rolex sales. I would go the AD in February and offer to buy immediately with a 20% discount.

I was just offered an insulting FIVE percent discount from CD Peacocks in Chicago. Walked away, of course.

I got a 13% discount on mine. Now you could probably get over 15%.

Really? For an authentic one? If you could get a REAL insert for that price I would be pretty surprised...then again, if you've got the right connections, I guess anything's possible. Cheers.

That's nice...couldn't find that deal in the U.S. How do I buy thousands of these at that price and get them back to the U.S. for sale? I guess the mark-up in the states (if you're lucky to even find one) is incredible.

I was offered 20% off list on an LV yesterday. I walked away. I am hoping for more after the holidays... I think, however, that may be a mistake... (walking away that is)

Cheers!

Thanks for information

Thank you all for your posts to this topic. I never thought that it would be possible to get a discount on a new submariner from an AD until I read your posts. I walked into Mayors in Atlanta today and bought my first Rolex. I told the salesperson that I did my research and found that people were getting discounts up to 20%. He said the best he could do was 10%. I pushed the 20%, and he made a quick phone call. He came back with 17% off. I couldn't have done it without your insights.

That's awesome...congrats. The only thing better than getting a new Rolex is saving some additional $ while buying. 'We can only give 10% off'...classic...I'm glad you stuck to your guns...and amazingly they found an extra 7%! Surprise, surprise. Good for you...enjoy the LV & that sweet Maxi-Dial.

I called three ADs in my area over the weekend looking for a new Sub no-date 14060m and asked if I would recieve a discount if I paid cash. One said no discount at all, and the other two said they could only discount 2% for a cash purchase. One of the ADs who only offered 2% off is where I bought a Sub Date 2 years ago. Even though that's not much of a discount, I'll probably deal with them because of the excellent service they provide, and the memories of walking out of that very same store with my first Rolex(which I sold)

Almost 50% or less in most cases. New is not better for sure. For two years, you can get the same watch for a song.

discount on sub

I was offered 20% off on a two tone sub, which was about $7200;and I think I could have sqeezed him for another $100 off.

I then looked at a pre owned two tone sub(2005). You would never know that is was used if I didnt tell you. I purchased this watch for $5800 with box and papers.

This is the first time I purchased a pre owned watch and would do it again if the right deal presented itself.

Had similar experience while in Chicago some months ago. No need to stop by there again.

If I were you, I'd walk away. In economic times like this, these ADs are at your mercy. They need your money more than ever. If they are only willing to pony-up a 2%, they need to be brought back to Earth.

Right now, 15% is the lowest anyone should be offering.

I paid £2100.00 for my brand new m series Lv in march 08 but this is after a px with a Omega double eagle. which cost me nothing. My ex wife gave it to me as a wedding gift but seeing as she was sleeping around I had no problem in letting the AD give me a Lv for the £2100 he asked me for. also skipped the march price increase. got to be IMHO the cheapest brand new from a AD LV on the planet. Just to add thanks sally

It seems anyone in the Uk unles part-exing a watch won't get any discount, I asked my AD and he said the same as mentioned by another U.K member - 0% discount on all sports Rolex's as they fly out the window and they have waiting lists for them. Funny thing is he had a Rose Gold Daytona which he was willing to discount.
