5524 price is very reasonable and much better than WF, so worth keeping an eye on them.

No I don’t really miss it as I never really wore it as I was never comfortable with how thin it was.

I’ve found the key is to negotiate with them. They started at £26k for my 5711.

lol... they offered £3k over retail for a 5711. I wouldn't even have bothered to negotiate up and passed.

You could sell that privately, with no selling history on craigslist and get significantly more.

The WF spreads are only relevant if the hassle and difficulty of selling it yourself means taking less from WF is a good trade off. In this case im shocked they have any 5711's at all. IMO its the most liquid watch in the world only because there are less of them available than the ceramic Daytona.

I really want to see what a April 2018 offer looks like as i guess yours was pre price rise.

This was when retail was £18k back in December and I was happy with £29.75k offer especially given I had purchased when list was £16k.

yeah the final offer seems OK actually, its the opening bid at 26. IMO the reason i liked WF was they were less of the used car salesman of the watch world. Just give me a firm offer and no haggling. As soon as i have to negotiate a low ball offer is the last time i sell with anyone.

That might just me me though, but i despise feeling like im dealing with a pawn shop.

Slightly off topic, but I’m so surprised (in 2018) so many brick and mortar pawn shops are still in business. At least where I’m from in Florida, they’re all over. I honestly assumed they’d be non-existent by this point, due to the rise of Craigslist/eBay/forum classifieds/etc. In my experience, their offers on every type of item were always horrendously low. I guess the appeal of same day cash still entices a lot of people?

Perhaps I’m an outlier, as I’ve been buying and selling a variety of items since I was in high school.

Yes, plus as it's an expensive item I still think most people would rather sell to a real person in a store. Also many receive Rolexes as gifts or inherit them so won't know about them or that they can get good prices elsewhere, they will assume they are like cars and will readily take low prices. But as time goes by more and more will buy after internet research, as with everything, and so these too will be sold thru the most efficient avenues and not just most convenient.

Got my quote in - 21,000 to 22,000 GBP. Higher than I expected from the Spreadfinder, but no way would I entertain the idea of selling.
