![]() I removed the divers extension from my DSSD and my AD did it. I wouldn't have bought the watch otherwise as i didn't like how it looked or felt.

![]() As to the OP's question - take out the diver's extension and your problem should be solved. I have 3.5 links on the 6 o'clock side, and 5 on the 12 o'clock side. |

Nothing weird there, I need 6 at the top and 4 1/2 at the bottom. Same thing. A lot of it depends on how much of the bracelet you want to slide into the glidelock. I could probably remove an entire link from the top and the watch would fit exactly as it doe now. The only difference is I would have very little if any room to adjust the bracelet out from the glidelock.

def remove the extension. Easier to fit and sits better on the wrist. Go on amazon & buy yourself a 1.6mm jewelers screwdriver. If you can find hollow ground (tip is flat and a bit wider to fit the slot of the screw better) it's better but any 1.6 mm will work if you're the least bit careful. Also, strongly recommended is a tube of PURPLE loctite (other colors too strong and will be difficult to remove screw in the future). Search here or on youtube for a video of how to do (some simple tricks to make it easier to remove screw initially and also on how to properly apply loctite so as to not get in the other parts of the link) but really very easy and you'll very much appreciate being able to "play a bit" to end up with the clasp perfectly centered on the flat portion of your wrist

hairdryer and 1.6MM screwdriver
I am very non-mechanical, but found that the SD43 did not fit well when I first puchased it last spring. When I got home, I heated up the links around the divers extension with a hairdryer for around 2 minutes to loosen the loctite on the screws. Using a Panerai screwdriver, I removed the screws holding the diver's extension to the bracelet. Put the screws back in and found they still had some purchase from the loctite and the bracelet fit perfectly! Put the extension back in the box to preserve the full set. This is a job that does not require a trip to the jewelry store!
My wrist is right at 8" and the removal of the extension leaves the clasp perfectly centered on my wrist without adding or subtracting any more links. Good luck! |
