It is what it is...the beauty is it has kept its roots. I noticed a visual difference with the size in the early observances. Once ownership has been taken that fades. I personally like the slender elegance of it but its really not for everyone.

Have you try on a black dial Daytona. I think it looks bigger.

i love how small the Daytona is, perfect size. Lots of tech in a small package. Plenty os large chromosome to chose from, AP for example.

I fiind the SS Ceramic Daytona to be the perfect watch for me so far! The bezel/dial/subdials contrast and the wrist size and presence is absolutely perfect!

It all depends on your wrist size, I tried on a Sea Dweller and it was like having a brick on my wrist and as I have no intention of going to bottom of the ocean with a $10k watch on my wrist it was an easy pass. The Daytona was a much more comfortable fit, each to their own.

The Watchfinder prices seem a bit excessive although I just emailed an Italian grey market dealer on Chrono24 and he quoted EUR20k for a C500 white. There also seems to be a dearth of them for sale at the moment in the classifieds section here

How come the Ceramics, are being bought at close to the 18K YG Daytona's? Are the YG just not increasing in value?

I don't understand why people are attracted to watches that "wear big". Do you not like comfort and eschew tradition? I have a BLNR and I think the case is too big for my 7.25" wrist. The watch sits on top of my wrist instead of conforming to it. The lugs don't wrap around my wrist... they're airborne. I guess some people call that wrist presence. Thus, I am desperately trying to find a Daytona C, specifically because it "wears small". In other words, it fits. Like the Explorer I, I would consider the Daytona C a good one to wear everyday because of the comfort factor.

6 digit daytonas are the last 5 digit style cases. which imho have great wearability and dimensions.

I think the overall statements that it wears small is because the 40mm is not the bezel diameter. I read the bezel is something like 38.6mm

I have the Daytona (white dial) and the LVc, and I had the BLNR, and while the Daytona is smaller than the other two it's not a substantial difference by any means. I love the way all three wear, but the Daytona is my favorite because it has a thinner caseback and thinner lugs. It's extremely comfortable to wear and doesn't look small at all IMO, but again I believe all three are comfortable and look fantastic.

WG and Platinum like everyone says wears a tad bigger....but still sleek and slim IMO for the most part and not really all that noticeable unless you're comparing side by side/back and forth.
Daytona to me wears the best out of the Rolex line up (especially with my 6.375" wrists). Less is more. |

Yes, I have seen and tried on the SS Ceramic White and Black dial. I too was underwhelmed. I'd likely not buy one even at MSRP lest it was to make a few bucks. Yea I said it.

the size is perfect. My favorite case size for Rolex SS. The Sub/GMT is a little large/thick, the YM is a little better, and the Daytona is even better.

I was also shocked at how small they wear in the metal. They look so much larger in photos on the internet. Still a fantastic watch, very elegant. Would go fantastic with my SD43.

I own a white ss Daytona , a Deepsea and a Sub hulk , to me the Daytona feels bigger than the sub because of the white dial, which makes it look bigger
First I thought it is too small coming from the Deepsea as my daily, But you get used to it , and than the Deepsea feels chunky I am 6”4 230 pounds , still I enjoy wearing both Not so long ago men used to wear 34 , 36 mm watches ;) |

It's other watches that are the wrong size.
