Can't lose with either, Subc may be easier to find but good luck getting the SS BLRO. I'd just find the Sub-c now if you can, put the your name on waiting list of the BRLO and maybe you would be lucky to get one a 10 years or less

Good luck find them in EUR!

GMT.. no doubt. More utility. FWIW, IMO anyway, and I guess it's part of my nature, but so many "iconics" are so "just because."

Sub VS Gmt, it's a never ending struggle. After owning one, you'll want the other and eventually end up owning both. - true story.

Initially you'll want that splash of color, then realize classic is the best and go for sub. After a few weeks/months, you'll find pure black sub boring and look for that splash of color all over again, and the cycle continues lol. Best of luck mate, you'll eventually end up with both watches.
Dang I feel like I'm in a support group....in a good way. The stuggle is real.

When I bought my GMT I knew that I'd wish I grabbed the Sub. Both were available at my AD at the time. But if I picked up the Sub I'd have wished I picked up the GMT. Overall I'm thrilled with my LN, but I'd really like to add a Sub at some point. Hulk or a Bluesy would do it.

Do you think an elapsed time bezel or GMT function will be more useful? There's your answer.

BLRO over the Sub. If it was a standard bezel GMT I’d pick the Sub but the BLRO is special.

I just had this same problem. I originally wanted the GMT master 2 Batman but was very fond of the sub with date 116610. After going to a Rolex botique and trying both on I decided to go with the Sub. I felt the numbers on the bezel of GMT were obnoxiously large and the blue didn't have the contrast the Black sub had. It's worth noting before I tried both on I had my mind set on the GMT. Whichever you chose you will love. Good luck dude.

GMT bezel can be used as timing bezel but with lower resolution (~2-3 mins accuracy). However the bezel is bidirectional rotating and have no sound when turned.

One beef with my new Rolex divers is that the bezel click is quite loud and sharp. Imagine using it in subway, ppl think you’re breaking into vault or something. Tick tick tick.

You can also use the Sub's bezel as a 12 hour function for a second time zone. Just divide the number on the bezel by 5. So, the bezel goes from 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. to 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.

I was in the BLRO camp 100%. Until I bought a SubC to tide me over until I can get my hands on the new GMT. Problem is now that I’m wearing the Sub, I can imagine how I could possibly like the GMT more - it’s a fantastic watch!!

I completely agree! Eventually you'll want both the Sub and GMT as they are both just so iconic. Unfortunately the wait for the Pepsi is going to be super long for most of us, so you can't go wrong with the Sub first. Good luck! Cheers!

Thanks for your responses! I have a close relationship with my AD so I can probably get the BLRO pretty soon. As It will be my first Rolex, do you think I should get the no date or date sub, or the SS BLRO

I prefer the additional complication with the GMT

If you have good relationship with your ad, why don't you ask him to show you both watches in the same time, try them on, feel them in reality, then decide. As others said the GMT is a more useful complication than high depth rate and the bezel colors are so attractive to me. But that is me, for you it may be different. The good news is that you can't go wrong with either.
