DSW will probably budge a little on the price too if one were to ask.
Agree. I just got mine BNIB for 9k even with name space on warranty blank. Was originally purchased earlier this year and i bought it a week ago.

TS is hands down the way to go. There prices include overnighting the watch to your door. The only thing you have to do is wire cash to them or pay thru paypal and pay 3% which is still at the end of the day exactly what you would pay for at an AD.

I held out until i found the blank name on the warranty card. If you dont care about that black csubs are posted 3 to 5 times a day in the classifieds. All in excellent condition and usually have all the papers and box.

This "hunt" everyone wants to enjoy is nuts and i dont get it. Its about wearing it and enjoying it not spending hours, days and weeks trying to find one. I for one am way too busy to put that much time in buying from an AD.

I bought a daytona c at premium and i dont regret it one bit. I used other watches that i wasnt enjoying to help offset the cost.

End of the day. Just order from someone on here and be done.

Think of it this way. All of the time you spend, gas driving to the AD would pay any difference if you are paying a premium.

Find it here and be done with it.

Should be relatively easy to find, just pop into a couple of ADs and ask if you can put down a deposit.

Went to an AD over the weekend and put a deposit down on a watch. It might take a while until it gets here, but hopefully I can have it in time for my graduation in a little less than a year. I went in with the sub in mind, but after the salesperson showed me his BLNR, my mind changed in an instant. The only thing that I'm keeping on the back of my mind is the PCL. I plan to use this watch pretty much everyday (except on days when I expect to be more active), and I'm concerned about the scratches on the bracelet over time. Any of you out there use a watch with a PCL bracelet? How does it wear over time? Thanks again!

PCLs will scratch. A lot. You have to know that going in and embrace it. The first few will hurt but as they build up they will create a great patina and I think they look wonderful.

A GMT is a tool watch not a piece of jewelry. Embrace it.

Congrats on becoming one step closer to getting your watch.

PCLs will definitely scratch but I don't think it's quite as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

I'm pretty conflicted since while I do like them a lot in certain circumstances, I also think that they err on the blingy side when wearing the watch with casual clothes - it's a lot when you're wearing it to the beach or something. You can send the bracelet to some guys in California who will brush the center links, which I think looks pretty good. Still haven't committed, but something I'm considering for sure.

Good point! I suppose I can always have it brushed down the line once the scratches become overwhelming. Thanks!

Oh wow that looks fantastic! Actually I was looking at the salesperson's watch and it did have quite a bit of scratches, but it did not in any way take away from how amazing the watch looks.

Four weeks ago I walked in to Bal Harbour AD. Had subD and Sub for the asking. Timing and persistence in person or greys.

Agreed.
