David SW BLRO Pesi Offering On Website

£15k in the UK on chrono 24 and it sold. Madness as there will be quite a few of these at ADs over the next year or so.

More power to David, he’s a great guy.

BUT, if Rolex were serious about squashing the grey market mark-ups, then it seems it would be easy to buy this piece or any one that pops up at the handful of well-known, respected TS on TRF and make examples of the ADs at which they originated by terminating the ADs’s status. The fact that Rolex doesn’t do this makes me question all the theories on TRF if Rolex wanting to tackle the gray problem.

And, BTW, steel oyster bracelet will fit the steel Pepsi. I’ve seen it.
Rolex really screwed those who bought the gold version (although given how close the pricing is on the secondary market, I can certainly understand buying the gold now).

yup. I have some clients that pay more in taxes bi-weekly than I make in a year! to them spending that much on a watch they are itching to have is absolutely nothing.

......for a watch worth less than half of that.
Wonder how it feels to have paid $23,000 for the TT CHNR and seeing the next one listed for $5,000 less.
Absolute lunacy.

A fool and his money are easily parted. That is enough money to start getting into precious metal watch territory.

A PM model GMT would be a better play at this price.

By the way the link doesn't work anymore. Maybe its already sold.

It did not last five minutes. I am not sure but highly suspect that my thread advertising the sale did not go well. It is a supposition of mine only.

It is a supposition of mine only. The page not found is the quickest way to erase the sale. Other ways are to mark it no longer available or something else.

Both of you are in denial. The last one sold to a real buyer. That isn't a test nor a game David is playing. He is a business man and has a stellar reputation. I've bought watches from him and I can attest to his rep.

This watch, like the last one sold in an instant to a real buyer and that buyer came on the forum and showed us the watch. I'm sure it's the mail. Because people spend money on a watch doesn't make them stupid. They have the money, you don't. I'm happy for the buyer.

Isn’t DavidSW part of the problem, regardless of his reputation?

We as a forum seem to raise our pitchforks to all greys but then defend DavidSW like he’s above them all. Selective hearing?

I have the money to pay for this premium but dare not dream of it.
I won’t resort to calling anyone stupid for choosing to do so. Prefer to say not the wisest of decisions with money but to each their own.

Again, as I said earlier, must feel like crap to pay $23,000 for the first TT CHNR to go on sale at this vendor and the second one lists for $5,000 less. The same will happen with this one. In the end, it’s just another watch and their lives won’t be any different for having it.

Maybe you're right, but I just don't believe it was listed and within 45 minutes the page was down? I've never heard anything bad about davidsw, but I also don't think he'd just list it randomly without having a bunch of people who were already waiting for him to get them one, let alone risk that Rolex buys it up and cuts the supply to one his his suppliers.

And I don't care if he sells one for 100k. Doesn't bother me. Good for him. Two people agree to a deal that has nothing to do with me.

I have no problem with any gray seller. If somebody wants to pay the price, who am I to say they're wrong?

Couldn't agree more.

Rolex doesn't care and it creates the desire to have what they are offering. If they really cared, they could pretty easily end it in my opinion.

This wouldn't work at all. My guess is most of these watches come from Joe Q Public getting the call, being aware of value, and calling David or any of the other guys. Its their property once they walk out of the store. Shutting down an AD in that case does nothing.
