Congratulations especially on the GV.

In all honesty I'm a bigger Omega fan than I am Rolex but that Alaska jobby just doesn't quite do it for me, no idea why. Wish I could put my finger on it?!?!

Regardless..... best of luck with those two!

It's the red hand that does it for me. The exclusivity doesn't do any harm.

Strange that such minor things that press the button.

The white straps are ridiculous though.

Good one Paul...... I am soooo envoius!!! Wish I had the guts to just whip out the plastic and do the deal!!!!! It is not so much that I would or would not be able to repay the debt.. It is more a case of could I ever recover from the trauma the wife would inflict if we didnt "agree" on this purchase beforehand!!!!! Like... I know... what is up with that!!!!!!!!!! :-) :-) Merry Merry to you and the fam, man!!! :-)

I am so intrigued by the Omega Alaska project, I have stared at pics. of them in the past for a very long time, absolutely amazing, I love it. Congrats of both purchases, what a day you had. Now is the hard part, which one is going to get the most wrist time?

Well done Paul, the fact you didn't know it was coming when you left the house makes it even better

Have to agree with you on the white strap. Looks like something Paris Hilton would wear! It looks great on the steel band. I take it it comes with both?

that alaska is nice. they sure did the right thing by keeping it a lemania. i'd wear it on steel any day. but the white strap and the big red hockey puck thing - that would collect dust in a drawer.

Quite correct.

It actually comes with the steel bracelet and TWO of the white/red straps. A standard sized one and a longer one for use if wearing the red "doughnut" outer case for the watch.
