Two-tone Subs are all the rage right now. I tend to wear my circa 1990 Ref. 16613 in hotter weather...it's such a perfect summer watch. Of all the watches I wear, my dial-turning-purple 16613 probably gets the most comments; it's a natural conversation starter.

You know, in the nearly 30 years I've been wearing Rolex watches, I can count on one hand where someone said something about my watch. BTW, that's absolutely fine by me.

This seems like a pretty cost-effective way into a submariner at the moment. Why am I finding this weird specification of the ultimate tool watch so strangely appealing?

Am I sick? Do I have priceitis? I mean, diamonds...
Cuz, they are awesome...

I don't see any price advantage over a bluesy which is, IMO, much better looking.

Nothing wrong with you, stunning piece. Acquired taste for some or worse but who cares.

Serti dial is the bees knees. I've being eyeing them for ages and this configuration looks sick!!

Quite hard to find this arrangement. Go get it!!

I wish rolex produces this watch again! It’s a beautiful watch! Well maybe in different versions including all ss with no diamonds !

Almost as awesome as reviving a thread from last summer to post a random picture of your Sub.

I prefer the serti dials on full yellow gold, but I do feel these are the nicest looking TT watches out there. I’m just not huge into TT

Charlie at Watches Etc. in OKC has one in the case right now that's in really good shape. If I remember, it even has the gold through clasp.
