I size the bracelet so I am comfortable with the easylink closed. When I need to, I just extend it.

this is how I think it should be used.

I use the EZ Link far more often than I thought I would. Both on my Exp I and GMT and someday DJ41. I know there are many that miss the crown clasp on the new DJ41 wit the Jubilee, but the EZ Link is worth it. To me anyway. One of the most useful watch 'complications' out there.

I think I may have extended the EZ link once. I don't really use it, but I guess it's nice to have anyway. I don't feel I'm missing it when I wear the OP or any other properly sized watch.

With my wrist size and my Milgauss I have it open. I have tried every adjustment with my bergeon and it's either too tight or too loose when retracted. With it open it fits great.
With my YM it's closed same set up as the Milgauss. I'm assuming with the height of the case it makes the difference.

Wear it closed and open when your wrist gets tight on warmer days.

IMO if you have to wear it out its not sized properly. I very, very rarely pop it out when its very hot and humid and it gets too tight. 95% of the time its fine in.

Probably true, but like you said if you almost never use it, no big deal to have it always popped out.

I assume if I added back a link, moved the microadjust to the shorter position, and then folded in the Easylink the fit might be acceptable. But it fits perfect as-is with the Easylink out and I’m too lazy to mess with it

I wear my YM snug, I get a perfect fit with Easylink closed, 6 links at 6 and 6 links at 12.

If I open Easylink, the watch becomes a bit wobbly, slips below the wrist bone and the crown digs into my hand.

Having worn two lady datejusts and a 35 ml YM(which didn’t have the easylink option), I’m very happy that my new 37 YM does have an easylink !
I wear it both ways - retracted and extended- depending on if I’m working or relaxing. I love the flexibility the easylink offers .

For my SS BLRO (jubilee), I rarely have to extend it, but I do with my Oyster bracelets once in a while.

Weather is always hot where I live so it’s usually extended so that I can close it when I’m traveling to cooler places.

except for when you really need it a bit larger. Its like a spare tire to me. It hardly ever gets used, but when you need it you are glad its there. Fitting a watch with it out is like driving without a spare.

exactly this in my case with my wrist. Half link would solve my problem I'm sure.

Only way for it to fit me correctly too

2 links out. Micro adjust on largest, EL open. 6.5
