I have had 3 BLNR's and all the mags varied. My 2nd one which was a 2014 one was perfect but the 1st (2013) and 3rd (2014) both had low magnifications. I would say yours is lower but still acceptable. It can really bug you though.

That doesn't look too bad.

Regarding being ok with a low mag piece, I wouldn't. I was never the biggest cyclops fan in the first place, so having a piece with a cyclops which didn't even serve its intended purpose would drive me nuts.

This is the new MWS infectious disease going around that makes it really hard for people to read the date. (Magnification Worry Syndrome if you are curious)
