I am slowly working on a shift to this. The goal is

116718 (have)
116500 (was told “soon” 3 weeks ago)
116610lv (long term goal after eventually parting with my 116710ln)

If you wish to stay within the Crown How about a Milgauss and an Expll Polar. That sounds pretty diverse to me. Happy Choosing.

I would suggest a white dial, and a green (or blue) dial
Your choices are from:
DJ 41
LVc (for green)
Exp ii

Depending on what sings to you

I think the SEAL theme is great esp if you want to go all-sports models. So indeed a GMT and either a Daytona or Exp.

Another route is to go Dress-Daily-Don’t Care or Formal-Frequent-Fun. So then your Sub can be a Daily then add a DJ41 and a fun vibrant piece like a Polar, BLNR or BLRO. This way you’re ready for anything that life may throw at you!

Perfect. My two favorite Rolexes. The Milgauss is such a cool and often overlooked piece.

Staying in Rolex:
Daytona and a DJ

Outside of Rolex (and not spending an arm and a leg)
Speedmaster, IWC Big Pilot

If you're going classic trio, Submariner, Patek Calatrava/JLC Ultra Thin (depending on budget) and a Speedy Pro.

I like the above idea. I would go Sub, Sky Dweller and Speedmaster. Sport, non-sport, non-Rolex. Perfect!

Left one to go.
This I'm on the hunt for a white dial Daytona or Explorer II to accompany SD43 and BLNR.

You only need one watch with plenty Rolex DNA and all the complications;

1. watertight
2. fluted bezel
3. cyclops
4. GMT function
5. annual calendar
6. oyster bracelet
7. presence

If in rolex... a DJ or DD. And a daytona. Sub/GMT’s have a lot of similarities, which is why I sold my sub after I got the Pepsi.

My air - land - sea trio includes a TT Sub, Fortis B42 Pilot and Oris Artelier. My sea alternative is my Tag Heuer Aquaracer with rubber strap.

I decided after going thru like 8 different time pieces I needed a black dial, blue dial, and a pm watch. I ended up with 3 different bracelets as well.
