I assume you really like the ALS, otherwise this thread would not exist.
I own a WG Saxonia and used to own a BLNR. Completely different pieces, I guess it comes down to what you'd use and enjoy more, if you're in suits regularly then go for it (personally I think you look silly in a suit with the BLNR).

I completely understand where you are coming from. I am in roughly the same boat in that I am looking to unload my black GMT to fund the purchase of a white gold ALS 37mm Saxonia.
In my case my Explorer II gets all of my wrist time so I felt the GMT was somewhat redundant. As I think the Explorer II is the ultimate daily/sports watch, I thought the ALS would be a much more refined change of pace. I absolutely love the Saxonia and can't wait to pick it up. Best of luck in your decision. I say go for it! |

Thank you for this comment. My only concern with the Saxonia was that it might be too dressy for casual dress. Sounds like it's quite versatile!

Hell yes. ALS is on a different planet, and if you want to go down that rabbit hole (and you should), then make that trade!

No.
This Lange model is of little interest in real life. Admiring on the Internet is one thing, buying Saxonia UT 37mm is another. |

They present very different images, that's for sure. Might I suggest that the ceramic BLNR is a bit 'bling'....as if designed to draw attention to itself. A very 'obvious' watch. The ALS could hardly be more different, under-stated, very classy, dripping with real style.
So you need both! |

I disagree but in a sense that's why I love the ALS, you rarely see them in the wild. Rolex are a dime a dozen and draw too much (unwanted) attention.

That’s on preference because I won’t trade a Rolex for nothing I will just add to it but that’s only imo at the end of the day it’s up to you and how you feel about both pieces

It depends on your collection.
I just scooped my former grail Lange 1 a month ago. I love it but to be fair I still wear my AP and Sub way more and to a certain extent enjoy them more. If your collection has other daily watches you enjoy then for sure. The Lange is such a beautiful piece and so timeless. Under the radar? For sure. My sub gets way more attention than my RO or Lange. But I like it that way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Depending if you have other sport watches. If yes, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

A Lange is a work of art but a totally different watch. An unanswerable question.
Would I want a Lange? Any day of the week. But I don’t wear dress watches and don’t like straps so my answer would be no. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Not a particular fan of that ALS reference. Whilst I find Rolex Sports models fairly uninspiring (apart from the 11520), the Saxonia in 37mm is even more plain in comparison.
I would not do that trade. |

Looks like a good trade. I assume you like the saxonia.
