Does anyone here have any insight on pricing for yellow gold 3940s with box and papers?

The more I wear it, the more I enjoy it. Truly a perfect daily for the office.

I had one for a while. I thought it was too small and returned it. Wish I hadn’t.

Ugh. I have some seller’s remorse on a few, too. There are nice examples of 3940s around still.

Although it’s not big at 36mm, it wears just right. And as a dress watch, small(er) works.

***The OFFICIAL Patek 3940 Appreciation Thread***

I’m extremely happy to be able to revive this thread.

The 3940p is back in the collection, and it will NOT be leaving again.

Thanks, Mike.

The moment I dropped mine at FedEx earlier this year, I regretted it.

It is quintessential Patek and is such a pure design.

It’s nice to see that back on your wrist Steve

Can I play as a fan?

Love the 3940, the complication and balance on the dial is deserving as any of the great PCCs.
As I wear this 5940 I find myself appreciating it more and more. I also nearly let it go

It is clear that Stern senior knew what he was doing making the 3940 his daily

Thanks, John! Your pics re-enabled me! :)

Yeah, 2nd series this time around. The gold moonphase really plays in the sunlight. It adds a different dynamic to the watch; both (gold and silver moon phase) are fantastic. You can't go wrong with this reference.

Thanks, G! I love the 5940 as well.

Absence definitely made the heart grow fonder on the 3940 for me. Keep and enjoy the beauty of the 5940. That watch fits you perfectly. Enjoy it!

European Watch Company is selling 3 right now, 1 in each metal yellow gold, white gold and rose. Sigh I need more money to collect one of each and get the P with Salmon dial :)

3940P with salmon dial? There’s a reissued 3940 with salmon dial, but in G. EWC also has several 3940s with the Roman numeral dial. All great options.
