If it was "my" watch I'm not sure I'd be happy with this - I'd expect it to be in the safe out of harm's way.

Or perhaps in the case on a "look but don't touch basis"

I certainly wouldn't want it available for just anyone to try on. Am I being overly fussy?

WTF?! They didn’t even bother offering me that deal! Should I be offended?

On a serious note...what would Rolex Corporate do if they received a complaint about this business practice regarding their AD?

They only care in the US for the most part and that's bc Rolex USA entity. Here you'll lose your AD status. Elsewhere, Rolex just wants a stable watch store/jeweler with history

Not at all. I'd be furious. A custom order, shouldn't be on display let alone allowed to be handled. A rep at my AD in the past, tried to get me to check out another customer's BLNR and I actually told them I don't feel comfortable handling a watch already spoken for. I guess lesson learned next time they call me my watch is in, my is there ASAP

I mean tbh... it makes sense. These watches are hard to come by and they fly right out the door.

Once upon a time these watches would have been available to try on and then you would have bought it and just not realised that 10+ people had tried it on before you...

I don't really see the problem providing all stickers / bezel guard are used and it's kept clean.

It's a lump of metal, not your daughter / wife.

I agree to a point but a car is also a lump of metal and I wouldn't want people sitting in a car and revving the engine when I had already purchased it. That being said I would think when a watch is spoken for the buyer would come in within a day or two.

...and apparently this BLRO has been in the window for at least a few days. Doesn’t add up to me either.

If you visit some off-the -wall, far away countries, it's surprising what SS models you will come across in your local AD.

Here is my local AD in KSA, they even had a BNLR sat there for a month at one point. PM is far more attractive to your average Arab.

Where exactly was that? Like most major cities, Karachi has its share of crime and I’ve been robbed of my cell phone at gunpoint once in the several years I’ve lived here. But I’ve never felt at risk anywhere else in the country.

It was 1989. North of Karachi somewhere in the desert in the middle of the night. Ahhh, the good old days.

Hahaha...most of the country is north of Karachi. Anyway, I could see that happening then, or even 10 years ago, but thankfully it’s a much safer country now. The military is pushing the Afghans and Tajiks, along with their hash and guns, out as well.
