Rotation has been my solution to fight boredom, it's worked ok so far up to a point. I'm now tempted to add a piece after one year going cold turkey.

I got caught up in Tudor renaissance, and landed B.B. Harrods. Initially loved it got loads of comments and genuinely prefer the green to LVC (heresy on TRF I know). It is undoubtedly a fine watch but it’s not a Rolex. Anyhow stuck it in safe when I went on holiday in July (took the Sub) and haven’t bothered to take it out since. Bizarrely, and this is what this hobby does to you, although common sense says flip it I am struggling to make the call to a grey dealer I have used in the past.

Nope. Watches are just like art for me. Buy only what you really love and you'll never get tired of wearing/looking/appreciating it.

I struggle with that with my GMTIIc LN, Tudor Pepsi GMT.
But I never get bored of my ExpI 39, Tudor BB red, or Speedy. I'll probably never sell the Rolex GMT, but I'm not wearing the Pepsi at all these days cause I'm thinking of selling it. But I'm going to hold it for a while, as I will probably regret selling. |

Not sure if bored is the best description for me, but I do find myself yearning to wear another watch sometimes!

I appreciate this post. My love for watches is not new, however only 2 years into being lucky enough to own them. You mean that 10 years after going through many, or keeping what You have and will eventually appreciate / love them more in 10 years (give or take)? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I am lucky enough to have a number of watches to wear but will often find myself wearing 1-2 of them for extended periods of time (weeks - months) without changing. I can't say I have gotten bored with any of my watches, I may find some more pleasurable to wear than others however and that will change over time.
