I would definitely get on the list. If for some reason your number comes up a bit early, find a way to buy it....even if you have to put it on a credit card! You cannot lose by buying a BLNR or SS Daytona C! (I assume a SS Daytona and not a PM is what you're trying for?) Worse comes to worse, you can resell it and make some money. I suspect you'll find a way to keep it though. :)

Meh, no hostility presented or intended. You made an effort to explicitly mention being a broke student, hoping to make six figures and living at home. That tends to open one up for input. You could have left all of that out and simply asked for advice without the details.
