Truth be told, I’m impressed with all of it. That these mechanical wonders work as well as they really do. It’s genuinely amazing.... I agree that 42 hours PR always felt more than sufficient. I think the driver behind my original post is that I’m geeking out that the longer PR which I previously thought to be hype is actually pretty darn cool

I see the difference because when I have projects around the house to complete, I frequently remove a watch on Friday night when I get home and don't put it back on until Monday morning. 3235 still ticking. 3135 stopped.

I have one watch with a 48 hr power reserve, one 60 hr and one with a 72 hr power reserve. I can certainly see why most people would prefer the longer power reserve but it's largely unimportant to me because I normally wear a watch for several weeks at a time.
I guess if a longer power reserve doesn't sacrifice quality or time keeping then I would prefer it, but it's not something I put a huge value on. Mark |

I will sometimes wear the same watch for weeks at a time but other times I will swap every couple of days. With the 126600 and the 126660 I do notice because I can swap one to the other every couple of days and they are still running. no big deal really other than i don't have to set them again.

For sure my friend. The fact they can make the reserve even better is definitely cool! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Noticed it immediately. A wonderful enhancement and wish it came along sooner. I don't mind resetting but having the extra power means if I switch to my Ventura (or whatever) for a couple of days, the DJ41 is always ready to wear.

If we take the comparison with the cars, now the 1.6 engine has under 200 horsepower, when there used to be about 100 forces on the same volume,
but after all, obviously, the engine's resource has become less, so I think with the clock, the durability of the mechanism will suffer with a large power reserve .. |

I have both and if I want to keep my Sub running if not wearing it I have to wind it every day. My Daytona gives me an extra day. But you are correct as I usually forget to wind them.

I tend to rotate between 3 watches and the fact that my SD43 is still ticking when I get back to it and the other two require setting is a worthwhile benefit for sure.
When I’m just wearing one for a longer period, however, it makes no difference whatsoever

yes of course. if it's a daily beater and you want to wear something different for the weekend, it will still be running Monday morning.
but at the same time not too overly concerned with 48 hrs only, because Rolex has the most durable crown, not afraid to adjust the time / date or wind it. Brands like AP and PP need this feature more than rolex due to their delicate crowns |

Have to agree Larry and all watches have a round thing that winds the watch, and today even watches like the Daytona many of those are on machine winders.
