Congrats and enjoy...

"4 other salesladies who were on the phone and said that they were all scrambling to call their respective vip clients"

Some TS here will be mad at you for taking food off their table.
Maybe the Manager didn't want their SS going to Grey ... that's why she sold to you.

Amazing experience! Not only Lady Luck was smiling at you but Rolex still doing shipment at this time of the year where I was told by my AD that no new arrivals until next year again.

"A bird in the hand...

After-all, the salesperson/manager did show some integrity to their on-phone VIP's "she would let us have it, but only one of the two"

In the commission 'sales' real-world, the adage of "a bird in the hand is worth TEN on the phones" will always trump the waitlists...

And this is why you put down the 50-100% deposit

Yup. And yet it sounds like it still happens despite deposits. This is a zero sum game, afterall.

Or at least that waitlists are bull crap. Bummer for the guy that got on the list last year for the SD43 and thought he was being respectful by not bothering them constantly about it.

I think u made the right choice. I like the sd43 much better than Sub date. It’s impossible to post pics on here without the Tapatalk app. Just download that and post pics threw that.

Without going into details, I can confidently say that Rolex absolutely is still sending shipments out -- and good stuff too.

And yes, waitlists at ADs are crap but relationships are golden.

No, it was not in Morgans in Rolling Hills and none of them were on the display. I never even saw the sub. Was just told it was available. I did not need to see it since I am very familiar with it. I did visit one Morgans branch, and the manager, who came from my country, could not help us at all.

Would guys have made the same choice, or would you have gone for the sub?
This would be my choice in definitely. Congrats on the great pies. After all it's a 50th anniversary watch wich will go in history as such.

I've never met anyone from "Asia" that didn't know how to work a camera. I'm calling bs on this one.

Just on the off chance you're really from New Jersey, USA but now live in Asia, congratulations on a great watch. ;-)

My guess as well. I've gotten PM pieces from them but have yet to receive a call from them for SS models or my AP.

That’s what I was thinking. Neat story but sucks if you’ve bought a bunch of watches and had that on your list
