I have been back and forth with the Sky-Dweller but think it is a great watch and a unique and complicated movement. I like the size and the bracelet adjustment, unlike the DD. The cost is the only thing that has slowed me down but then again not too much.

SkyD is phenomenal. I have 2, sold everything else. Early PM ones not so popular with the Arabic and Roman dials. The new plain markers is perfect for the watch and are hard to find, SS and PM.

You wanted some Sky-Dweller love so here goes, a big dose for you.

I was fortunate to be offered all 3 SS Models at my local AD recently, despite all the blue-hype it was the black that really sung to me.

With its typical Rolex fluted bezel, cyclops, oyster bracelet, GMT and annual calendar the SkyD is perhaps the most innovative and ultimate Rolex to own

Think my favourite is the previous white gold black face with Arabic numerals

I was also looking for a thread talking about sky-dwellers. I recently purchased the below one: white gold, black dial with Arabic numbers and a
Croc strap. Brand new from an AD with full stickers, books, box. I had been stopping in the local store now and again wanting a SS one which never seems to be available but this one was there each time. Finally, I pulled the trigger with the right to return it within 3 days for a full refund and no questions asked. I had been looking everywhere for conversations and information to help me make up my mind. I have a respectable collection and typically wear a black dial ceramic SS Daytona and/or a ceramic SS submariner. In the end I kept this sky dweller but I’m curious if there’s a vibe about these going up or down in value. I know they stopped making the white gold with the black Arabic dials so I’m hoping to look back on this as money well spent and not a foolish waste of money. Thoughts?

i prefer the WG to SS, however i prefer the new stick dials so IDK... i saw that and another WG variant at an AD in London today. So they are not fast movers even after a discontinuation so that generally indicates there is probably no future price appreciation there. Its a great looking watch though regardless of where the price goes.

I appreciate the insight from across the pond. I do love the look and bought it because, perhaps like too many others, I’ve caught this affliction addiction to purchasing Rolex watches. My wife cannot understand it and I hear ‘another watch, how many can you wear at once?’ It’s not like when we were both kids in the 80s and girls would wear 10 swatches up their arms at one time. Lol.
I don’t expect it to turn around in 5 years and suddenly be worth a Paul Newman Daytona. Just hoping it doesn’t plummet in price to where I feel foolish to have bought it. For now, it still has all the stickers on it, is in the box and tucked away. I’ll think about it in a few years and hope for a pleasant surprise.

There are many members who love Sky Dweller here but it’s a relatively expensive watch compare with SS Sub or SS GMT.
Also not have history like Sub or Gmt.
Maybe this question if Rolex lover like the Sky Dweller or not it’s better to have it not after only 2 year after release the SS Sky Dweller and many AD don’t received any pieces till now.

Big love for the Sky Dweller from me. It's so clever and yet so nicely styled and packaged, for all its complications.

What I would love even more than the Sky Dweller, is owning a Sky Dweller. This might sound like semantics, but in today's bonkers world it's a significant difference. They just don't turn up much in SS. So there's nothing much to talk about.

This year I'm possibly going to get on my AD's list. I'm hopeful. That's how far away I still am from actually owning it. Lack of noise from me doesn't equal lack of love. But what am I going to talk about?

The Sky-Dweller was more of an add to the collection for me than an every day watch. Something to pass to my grandkids one day. I very much enjoy the Rolex watches. A few from my collection

I love the look of a Sky Dweller — that unique dial is so eye catching, especially in gold.
