Just checked the Rolex website. Probably was the deep sea. It was stainless and all black. They 44mm. It was a big watch. They are pretty desirable, no??

I was just in Singapore en route from holiday in NZ and Aus. I tried two dealers and at the airport, plus in Auckland and Sydney plus Sydney airport. In every case the dealer said they almost never get any SS Sports watches, and none had seen an SD43 in many months or even years. They pretty much all said or implied that they feel less well served than China and the US for these types of watch and get left with the bling or very plain basic Oysters.
One offered to buy mine! |

As someone else said, from time to time people spot a “sea dweller” in a window and it causes a stir. 99.9% of the time it’s a black Deepsea |
