This makes the most sense.

OP: I’d leave well enough alone until the next service interval - make note of it if they return the watch in a similar state.

Is it like that with all the dates?

I'd send it in to have it adjusted.

I’d send it in too! You expect perfection why not get it when you pay 11k for it!

$11k is far too cheap for perfection.

Rolex marketing refers to 'the pursuit of perfection'. They do not promise it.

Once you see it now every single time you look at your watch your gonna look at the alignment issue.

If it was only very slightly misaligned I would leave it but that is noticeable.

Yes that’s the problem I know it’s there and I can’t “unsee” it..... lol

Thought maybe excess oil being new. It isn't something that would bother me anyway. It's central enough. Not worth being without the watch Imo or putting it under the knife at all for that matter.

Live with it for a while more and see how you feel about it then.

If it still bothers you, take it in, if you must.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it, as long as the date is clearly visible.

They can definitely fine tune it or just replace the datewheel

True.. Maybe the OP can just run through the dates a few times and see if it self aligns.

Normal, but ask them to align it when it next has a service.

Ahhhh but the angle it appears the cyclops is off to the right!

Up to you to decide if it bugs you that much then send it in so you can sleep better at night.

easily fixed

The fact that it does not adjust to the inside of the window can be a very common problem and easy to fix, the issue is in the Date Jumper, there is a part that adjusts the date wheel to perfection according to the quadrant of the dial,
It is an adjustment that would not take more than five minutes.
but here's the thing, in many authorized Rolex services they will ask you to do a service
ask an authorized Rolex service if they can adjust the date wheel without having to do a complete service
In case they tell you that you must do the service out of obligation, you can resort to an external watchmaker, in reality the adjustment is very simple,

but I think that in many Rolex services their policy when opening a watch is to do the service (approximately 720 us for service only)
Regards.

It's fine. I'd leave it.

By the way, I'm waiting (Forever) on this very reference. What a beautiful watch.
