Rolex teaser update

I agree - maybe even more than 2 with the additional images yet to come.

FWIW, Rolex always uses that plural title at the beginning of their announcements, "New _ _ _ _ Watches".

When the day comes that only 1 new watch is announced then it will be a sign that the end of time is nigh...

Second teaser

Rolex posted on twitter another video, looks like it's gonna be a turn-o-graph

41mm turn-o-graph

Will probably have the blue hand like the YM came out with instead of the red from the 36mm turn-o-graph

would be nice!

I'd be all over a mercedes hand DJ, I think it would be even cooler than a coke or a slim sub

True, they could change whatever they wanted.

But it seems unlikely they would just obliterate the key dividing factor that makes the DD one of their most “prestigious” and exclusive (price-wise) models.

Not sure if they're teasing 3 different watches, or a few scattered shots of 1 model, plus a shot of another?

I think it’s 3 watches.

A YG sports (sub or gmt)
A WG sports (yacht master)
A YG day date

I have a feeling that the teaser on Twitter, has been posted accidentally and shouldn’t have included the extra pictures
I think we have all just had a sneak preview of something.

Interesting. You're thinking that because it was only put out on Twitter and not their other social channels at the same time?

Would they try to revive a huge flop as the last iteration of the TOG was!

And a fixed fluted bezel on a TOG sort of defeats the point!

I think we're seeing four different watches.

Last week was an Explorer II and a Yachtmaster.

This week is a full gold Submariner (likely with the new movement) to start the Submariner refresh we all expect -- they'll try to sell it in PM first with stainless to follow.

And finally a fluted bezel watch -- likely a refresh of the Daydate or a full gold Datejust.

Rolex teaser update

It’s possible that they have teased 6 watches as there are 3 clips in each teaser

But some of the clips in the new tease could reference to the prior week so keep the guesses coming

I would look at Rolex SA's patent filings to see what hasn't made it to the market yet. 2 items jump to mind:

1. Annual Calendar Movement
-Most likely here a new Day Date Annual Calendar model

2. Ceramic Cased Watches
-This probably won't be happening, but would be cool

Don't think a Turn-O-Graph would be one in a solid YG case.

My guess is a new Day Date Annual Calendar to pair with the Sky D annual GMT calendar watch.

Or perhaps just a new watch altogether...the Rolex Annual Calendar

Whatever it is has a date window and cyclops at 3 o'clock for sure

That’s already on the PM SkyDwellers. They didn’t bother putting it on the SS though.

36mm DD (and DJ) are both due for an update, but I’m not sure that’s this.

New Day date AC is possible from this preview, ceramic cased could be possible from the first teaser where it appeared there was a blacked out markers / hands, which would match a ceramic case style.

I hope they just implement that on all models ASAP, does irritate me!

The WG might be GMT coke. Since they have SS Pepsi now, they might discontinue the WG version and replace with other model.

Too many folks hoping and praying its Turn-O-graph. But TOG was never successful and it'll be failure in these times as well. I don't see except few WIS anyone else buying TOG over DJ or sports models. It was and will always be confusing and redundant model in Rolex listing.

No, two dots could also mean yellow or rosé gold, see the Day-Date 40

I bet they are introducing a revamped DJ36 or DD36, though I hope not the latter.

Cheers. Wondering if DD36 will transition to the updated case of the DJ36 from 2018.

Yes I was thinking the same. But it's weird they updated the DJ first instead of the DD36.

I'm really hoping for a totally new model... but probably Basel will be just some minor updates.

Two dots are for Twinlock YG, RG, or WG

If a Triplock then the size of the dots vary to indicate the PM
