If I had the choice, I would go with stickers.

Maybe 50 euros but nothing more at least it hasn't been polished or such.

It is just another layer of validation that the watch is brand new. For some people, they need that. I would not pay extra because I would not pay more than MSRP, and would prefer to purchase from an AD.

Same reason some people pay more for a new watch, rather than slightly worn and preowned.
Different strokes.

I had a bad experience with a watch purchased on secondary that was claimed to not be polished. It ended up being so. Since then, I pretty much only consider something with stickers if buying from non-AD.

Since I’m going to take the stickers off once I receive the watch, then paying extra for them only just to take them off doesn’t make sense at all. It’s like throwing money away.

I wouldn’t pay any more for stickers and in fact when the AD said he had to remove them on my last purchase I was actually quite happy as I got to wear it straight away without stickers, rather than the old me would’ve left a couple here and there to “protect” it from scratches lol

In the for sale section of this forum you can find sets of protection stickers for $99 for a set of stickers.

Who in their right mind would pay more for stickers that you peel off & throw away?

What about a newish watch still with stickers? That seems like a unicorn to me. I'd pay a little more if I were keeping it in factory condition or wanted to know 100% the watch was never worn. New or NOS as delivered by factory is kinda cool, and the reassurance that the watch is actually new could be comforting to some.

If the watch is pre-owned...it’s pre-owned...according to grey dealers. So technically...intact stickers shouldn’t add any value. I wouldn’t personally pay extra for stickers.

Stickers strongly preferred for me if from a grey due to the added risk, as mentioned by others. It's like an insurance policy as you're paying for piece of mind. From an AD it's a non-issue. They can remove all of them. I don't care as I'm not worried about the watch not being brand new as represented. A $200-$300 sticker premium is about right, no more.

Zero. I rarely buy from grey dealers. Coming from an AD, I take them off in the shop before leaving anyways.

If we choose to buy from one of the board’s Trusted Sellers, can we safely assume that there will be no issues if they say there are no issues but with stickers removed? I assume that we can return the watch if there is an issue. I have not bought from a Trusted Seller before.

I imagine I would be furious if my car sales person handed me the keys to my new car and said "Congratulations on your new car! You will just need to peel off the protective films on the car yourself and here is a receipt of $340 for the protective films. We take cash, checks, and credit cards."

Totally missed the 16520 train. It was mid teen during great recession for an A-serial, I made a few offers on TZ and TRF but missed it. Ouch!

I had this dilemma the other day while at Keystone ski resort. I could have gotten a quarter-size sticker for $3, which I thought was over priced. I ended up paying $4 for a lot larger sticker which I promptly slapped on one of my skis- true story. Oh wait, what were we talking about again???

Stickers aren't worth anything... especially if you are going to wear it.

They only help the process if they seller is claiming it is BNIB or new but via an AD.

The only time it might be worth something is if it as vintage or "modern vintage" NOS piece where there is usually a hefty premium involved. If I was buying a collectors piece just to keep in the safe perhaps it is worth a few extra bucks to get one with stickers. Again I'm talking about something no longer obtainable new and for collecting.

Right now, i think zero. Now take an unworn Daytona C in 20 years with stickers, i think that would command an up charge. This isn’t the 70s though. Rolex is producing so many watches that things like stickers remaining or NOS is not going to be that big of a deal.

Stickers are worthless. The full set is on the other hand very important and worth paying for.

It depends.

Situation A: If you're a collector, stickers add value. This is proven - look at listings in the sales forums.

Situation B: If you're a wearer, stickers ought not be paid a premium for (in my book, at least).

B > A

It isn't the stickers that are valuable. It is the piece if mind knowing that the watch you are purchasing really is mint. Mint and not just a watch that was almost mint and polished to get back to mint.
