I think what they’ll do is to discontinue the current 116610LV and introduce the 126610LV with a new movement and the crown in between “Swiss made”

I doubt they’ll completely discontinue it as it’s a hot seller and Rolex won’t want prices of the current LV to go mad crazier than what it already is.

There is some truth to the "can't order any more from Rolex maybe it's discontinued"; however, you have to take it with a grain of salt.

My AD mentioned to me a few months before Basel that he suspected that the black GMT would be discontinued because he couldn't order one and hadn't seen one in the longest time--in fact he mentioned specifically that he had received more BLRO's than black GMT's last year. He was right.

On the other hand, people assumed the white gold BLRO was going to be fully discontinued because it was not able to be ordered; however, Rolex just changed the model number and re-released it.

Howdy,

Yes, but when he tells us we'll all laugh at him, call him a fraud and then say really nasty stuff about him.

Then, when it's proven true, we'll pretend it never happened and refuse to admit we were wrong.

Wheres the fun in that?

Take care,

I wouldn't be surprised. The Submariner line is due for an update. Won't know anything for sure until Basel 2020.

I think they may trim down the sub line, but its possible they don't. It's more likely they upgrade movement to 72hr power reserve for the majority of the line.

Lol, you seriously hit the nail on the head. So many people were thrashing him on the 116710BLNR discontinuation and here we are.

Not hard to imagine that the 116610 and 114060 would eventually get the 12xxxx update. Maybe Rolex finally kills the LV (anniversary is long over, lol).

Doesn't affect me either way, Don't have Hulk and if I can get one, great, if not, whatever, plenty of other references I'd rather spend the money on (like a 16800 matte dial). The Kermit on the other hand....

It’s just the BLNR discontinued nonsense, but just 116710BLNR turned into 126710BLNR

The LV and LN will go from 116610 to 126610 with 3235 movement at next years Baselworld.

I have been told by two sources I consider credible that it will be discontinued and not just a movement update. No more green sub. I can only imagine, if this is trie, they will need to make a stainless sub in a color other than black

I was told the same story at the same AD. I asked the guy who told him that? He didn’t answer. I said, did your Rolex rep tell you that? I said, funny, it’s still on the website, didn’t get a discontinued discussion out of Basel?? All I heard was crickets. I think it’s just a new line of defense against unknown customers walking in off the street asking for hot models.

They should start with all PM this year. There is a chance also for Hulk to go out depending on depletion of dial&bezels for it as well. So everything is possible.

Lol, you a real hard on for him, eh? I don't follow the guy or look for his predictions, I just remember seeing that the 116710BLNR would be discontinued. It was.

This doesnt make logical sense. They're discontinuing a Hulk in May? So far from Basel? PLEASE!

Your AD is probably not getting many Hulks in, so it'll be easier to say it's getting discontinued, so they wont get anymore questions.

And RPR did NOT know the answer until 72 hours prior announcement when he got hold of a press-release for journalists and snapped it with his crappy Android. Everything else he had coming up until March was just pure guess and a mockery. He proved himself to not have much inside-knowledge. Guy hasnt been fed the correct information since 2015 (or was it 2016?)

Discontinue it and do a green glossy (non-metallic, non-sunburst) and they’ll sell triple.

I turned down a Hulk back when you could walk in cold to an AD and not only find one but they’d sell it to you - partly because it was MSRP (big chuckle these days balking at MSRP) and partly because I didn’t like the dial.

I wasn’t here 15 years ago but when I started TRF felt different. Today is more of a wallstreet forum and less than a passionate community.

Subs in general are due for a refresh. At a minimum a movement upgrade. Hulk will disappear or reappear in a new form.
