Contrary to everyone's belief that ADs sit on these models en-masse in their vault, I know that small ADs get a shipment of these 1-4x a year, i.e. they receive small quantities of the hot SS models. Similarly can be said that the bigger ADs (tier 1s) only receive these models 1-2x a month. They used to receive 2 SS Subs a week, now they receive 1. And everyone keeps talking about supply not being cut, but demand just gone up 100-fold.

@OP since you have great relationship with them, perhaps ask them how much they receive now compared to 4 years ago.

Congrats on a beautiful piece. Well-deserved. Hope your AD survives Rolex's annual review of their sales.

Thanks so much! Watch collecting should be an enjoyable endeavor. I still believe the Rolex Forum is the classiest place on the internet.

They gave me my choice between them, but the one I didn’t pick was going to someone else.

Also I certainly wouldn’t have been able to afford both since I just picked up an Air-King last month.

Here’s some pics of the Batman. What a stunner!

Beautiful addition. That’s wonderful that your AD is really straight up. There’s something to be said about working with businesses in smaller markets. Congrats on only having to wait 6 months!

Something from Lange. The 1815 up/down I think. But a Saxonia thin would work too.

If I stick with Rolex I’d love a day date.

Excellent and congratulations.

Personally, I have no time, inclination nor money to "build a relationship". If the piece is available, great. If not, my money goes elsewhere, simple as that.
